The Design Consultant/Salesperson is a gateway for our clients to engage into the design-build process and is responsible for creating and selling innovative, high quality projects. Successful candidates possess a passion for remodeling design and sales, while also being able to play well with others.
Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic design consultant/salesperson for Designs by Thomas. This individual would be responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process. Your responsibilities include selling doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, and moulding/trim. You should provide quick and efficient service, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, and resolve all queries professionally.
To be successful as a design consultant/salesperson, you should provide excellent customer service, consistently maintain the image and vision of the organization, and achieve the sales goals of the company. An outstanding design consultant/salesperson should display a positive attitude, focusing on customer satisfaction, maintain an orderly appearance, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greeting and assisting customers with queries and providing solutions quickly.
- Possessing excellent product knowledge to inform and increase sales.
- Recommending related products to increase customers’ options and enrich the shopping experience.
- Accepting and processing orders.
- Following up on inquiries/orders to prevent delay and frustration.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Ensuring that each customer leaves the store satisfied.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Door, window, and cabinet sales experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge and use of cash register.
- Work well both independently and as a team member.
- Good personal appearance.
- Frequent bending, reaching, standing walking.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
*Knowledge of 20/20 Design Software would be a plus, but it is not required.
